Goodbye, Farewell, Amen...

She can't stop shaking I can't stop touching her and...
This time when kindness falls like rain
It washes her away and Anna begins to change her mind
"These seconds when I'm shaking leave me shuddering for days," she says
And I'm not ready for this sort of thing...

- Counting Crows, "Anna Begins"

I have enjoyed "blogging" for a long time - even before it was known as "blogging". I did my thing on my own site for several years before moving to Blogger, and when I moved to Blogger my readership exploded. I am fortunate to have made a lot of friends through this medium, and I hope along the way I have helped a person or two.

I have seen many blogs come and go over the years, and I think it is time for me to go. Priorities change and life sometimes has a way of making you wonder what it is all about.

Maybe I will search for that answer, and if I ever find it I will come back and let you guys know.

I am leaving the blog up so anyone can reference it. Who knows, one day I may drop back by with a new post. Then again, maybe not.

You can always check out the great blogs on my Blogroll; I told Tom C. he should start his own and if he does he will contact some of the other bloggers to let you guys know where to find him.

I apologize for the abrupt ending - but then again, aren't all endings abrupt? Thanks to everyone for everything.

Sorry to hear that you are hanging up the blog X. The trading community will miss your trading genius, as well as your poltical and entertainment commentaries. Thanks for keeping the blog up as a point of reference, because there's so much great content here.

All the best!

Well, my first reaction is sadness to see you go, move on. I've learned alot here, perhaps my equity curve hasn't showed it but I've ALWAYS looked forward to punching the X on the Toolbar and seeing what's been posted. May you fly like the the Pale Male high above Central Park or other place of beauty.

I am really sorry to see you go X. I have learned so much from your blog, I feel I owe a debt to you, in a real and tangable way. I am out in H-town all the time (including this coming October). Maybe I will see you at Bocca Bar or Bond (now that Liqour Lounge, Spy, and Social are closed). I certainly owe you a number of rounds.

I hope all is well with you on the personal front, and that you have great success going forward.

Your blog is top shelf, I only wish I had been able to get my blog level up enough to get on your blogroll.

Best wishes,

ADD Trader

I'm still hoping this would be somehow a joke...

I learned a lot from your blog. I'm really sorry you have to leave.

I wish you the best.

Farewell and good luck with the rest of your life. Life is short so play hard -- although it's from a Nike commercial I think it's a good way to live life.

I've certainly learned a lot from your blogging and I'm certain it's helped many others as well. Thanks for everything! And I'm also glad you're keeping the blog up for references.

Also, feel free to do the occasional maybe once every month or so post about what you're up to -- doesn't have to be about trading and I'd like to hear more about your adventures with all of the free time you now have without constant blogging :)

Take care!

Hi X, I will miss you. Will the site still be available if no one ever posts?. Or will it disappear as Estocastica's site? I plan to study all of your prior years charts, so I hope I can still access your site months from now.

Also, do you know how I can access Estocastica's blog? I tried signing in but it is not allowing me access.

Thank you for the wonderful legacy. Rudy

All I can say is X you have to know that you helped more than 1 or 2 people. I would guess it is easily 100 or 200 if not 1000 or 2000. You gave selflessly and most appreciate it. Go to a sabbatical and come back one day.

I wish I knew more about why Trader-X is ending the blog. My imagination runs wild with visions of Trader-x counting all the money he hsd made from his daytrading. Or maybe he purchased a yacht with all those beyond the fib setups. Set sail for Fiji Islands. Trader-x has helped me out tremendously. I will be forever thankful and hope I can someday see his return to the blogosphere.

wow... talk about fade to black. I'm absolutely stunned. You really have provided so much to so many including myself.
I hope you are leaving knowing that you have done an extremely generous act by providing commentary and insight on daytrading and how to become successful at it. I aspire to achieve the success you have achieved at daytrading.
Thank you for everything you have given and I really do wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

God bless.

From trading, to making me laugh, to helping me better myself through things you recommend. Thank you, and I know your life will continue to be blessed because you are someone who gives, and it always comes back.

Thank you so much for your blog and hard work over the last few years. You have clearly laid out an excellent strategy that others can follow. You have given us priceless lessons like looking for only the highest quality setups, and warned us from chasing success. The knowledge and experience you have shared with us through the blog and email has made better traders out of us all. You have helped many, and I hope that this brings you satisfaction!

Thank you, Trader-X, whoever you are.

I check in every weekend, and am sad to hear the news. But wish you all the best.

They say the best thing you can do in your life is help and influence others, and through your writing and teaching you have done that more than you will ever know.

I never met you, but I feel good calling you my friend. Best wishes always.

Alone

Lying, thinking
Last night
How to find my soul a home
Where water is not thirsty
And bread loaf is not stone
I came up with one thing
And I don't believe I'm wrong
That nobody,
But nobody
Can make it out here alone.

Alone, all alone
Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

There are some millionaires
With money they can't use
Their wives run round like banshees
Their children sing the blues
They've got expensive doctors
To cure their hearts of stone.
But nobody
No, nobody
Can make it out here alone.

Alone, all alone
Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

Now if you listen closely
I'll tell you what I know
Storm clouds are gathering
The wind is gonna blow
The race of man is suffering
And I can hear the moan,
'Cause nobody,
But nobody
Can make it out here alone.

Alone, all alone
Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

We will surely miss you Trader X. Thanks for your abundent generosity and unremitting kindness.

Dear X, I´ve been working away all June, on the other side of the planet, unaware of what was going on with the blog I normally checked every day. For all you´ve given us, not only for the trades, it was a moment of the day that I enjoyed and expected. You´ll be missed.

My best wishes to you and to Tom C.

I'm starting to understand why its always been so hard for Keith Richards to get straight. This separation is worse than either divorce I've struggled through. Please come back X and Tom -or at least make arrangements to post a few setups/week on someone else's blog like Jamie's. Please hurry before I'm driven to a cyberporn addiction.

X has been so important to so many of us that if the last several posts are accurate, which they appear to be, I feel like I've been kicked in the gut. I come back every few weeks in the hope that X would have sowed his "wild oats" and come back rejuvenated.

PLEASE where can I find more information..and perhaps a charity to contribute to in his name?? Tom, Anyone?? Please reply

I am pretty sure the previous commenter meant RIP as in the blog is dead, not X. He just emailed me his Fib spreadsheet, so I think he is around.

Does anyone know if tradethemove.com is running the special again this December if you mentione trader-x blog?
