Welcome to a new trading week...

I am back this week, but I am very behind. If you sent me an email over the past two weeks give me a few days to read and respond.

One topic I have noticed come up again and again - both in comments and email - is how to manage (shorten) a watchlist. I have written extensively about this subject and you can look it up on your own under "WELCOME, LINKS TO KEY POSTS, RESOURCES". But here are a few quick ideas:

1.) Only use stocks with an average daily volume of 1,000,000 shares.
2.) Only use stocks that gap above or below the previous day's high or low.
3.) Only use NASDAQ stocks.

Remember, you are not going to be able to find and take all of the set-ups that exist on any given day; you will always miss some (or many). But if you cull your watchlist to a manageable number you can better focus on what is in front of you and in turn you will not be as rushed and you can make better decisions (which hopefully equals better trades).

On a non-trading note, Spider Man 3 was good but IMO not as good as 1 and 2. But it was worth seeing - plus a really hot woman took me to it...so I had that going for me.

You may know day trading but have no clue when it comes to this country and bashing our president in a fight against terror. Liberalism is destroying this great country. Lets see: Bush lied about WMD - Bull, Bush is a racist- Bull, Bush went to Iraq about oil - more bull, Bush caters to the rich, more bull. Then again talking to anyone with the same view points as Rosie O'Donell your just wasting your time.

Paul, not sure about your last three points. Never thought he was a racist. But lying about WMD's? Yes. Pretty clear when you look at the evidence. Invading Iraq on bogus intelligence and trying to tie it FALSELY to 9/11? Yes, absolutely. Responsible for almost 3,400 American soldier deaths in Iraq when we should actually be fighting terrorism instead? Yes.

I guess you're telling us to by General Dynamics.

68% of the population and most of the world disagrees with you about Bush and the war Paul... You are the minority already.

Liberalism is moving this country forward...

Changes are long overdue in Washington.

Bill,

Sorry but there is 100% no evidence that Bush lied about WMD. Maybe u heard that on the terriorist network MSNBC but the facts are: Clinton believed while in office and has stated it many times on record. Are you familiar with the Robb-Silberman Commission that concluded the president did not lie about the intelligence on Iraq? What about the Senate bipartisan panel that concluded the same thing – that Bush didn't lie? What about David Kaye? He's the guy Bush sent to Iraq to find stockpiles of WMD. While he didn't find stockpiles of WMD, he spoke of the possibility that Saddam transferred WMD out of the country during the run up of the war. Perhaps more important, he said that no intelligence analyst – all of whom, by the way, thought Saddam had stockpiles of WMD – felt pressured to lie simply to provide a motive for Bush to go to war. Many of Saddams Generals have said the same especially after we gave Sadam a one year warning that we were coming. And lets not forget the Saint Saddam used them on his own people.

Sorry Bush is not responsible for the 3600 dead - the freaking terriorist radical islamic muslims are. Stop blaming America for this mess, look at the enemy. They have been targeting America for 20 years and finally someone said enough is enough.(Iran 1979, world trade center 1993, 911, the Marine base in Lebanon in the 80's, and the countless attacks on our embasssies like Tanzania and Kenya or the bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arbia. Its actually amazing that only 3600 soldiers have lost their lives hunting down terriorist that threaten our Freedom. Imagine if was the numbers we saw during War I 200,000, War war II 400,000, Nam or Korea over 50,000 each or even Gettsburgh 50,000 in 3 days. Look up your history to see what they said about Lincoln then he was hated much like Bush due to the media, but he decieded to do what was right for the country not his poll numbers. God Bless America and support your country and remeber the media will never bring the positve to light. And if u think this terriorist thing is a joke, Hammas is using Micky Mouse in a cartoon being shown to children to kill Americans and Jews. But u wont get that factual story on the main stream news.

No - no marriage. I keep asking, but she keeps saying no.

Paul - all opinions are welcome here at the Trader-X blog. It was founded on the concept of equal time for all points of view. Wait, what the hell am I talking about...no it wasn't. So your comments will be deleted shortly!!!

I will say it is amazing how a witty cartoon can set someone off...but, I appreciate you reading regardless.

BTW - I missed the whole Bush/racist thing. Did that have something to do with his grandfather supporting the Nazi party? Allegedly, of course.

I love you all.

LOL!!!

It's about time you got back. Forget the women or you will lose your edge. You make enough money for a steady supply of high class call girls.

please do not delete Paul's comments. Your above that. His comments prove that the only Bush supporters left are those that retired their thought process and succumbed to repeating what Limbaugh tells them.
his comments stand as a reminder for us not to take anything for granted in 08.

I am pretty sure he was being sarcastic. The comments are still there.

Of course it was sarcastic - I didn't delete Paul's comments. Though I reserve the right to do so without warning...

I did quit publishing subsequent quotes - both from Paul and people attacking Paul. If you want to get in a heated political debate go chat on ET, or visit my friend Atrios.
