I've been back to posting for almost a year now, and I've decided it is time to take a hiatus. I have some additional vacation I am taking before the end of the year, and some personal and business issues I need to address. I may be gone a month, maybe two. Or, I might post something next week. But, I probably won't do any consistent posting for a while.
I know there are a lot of people who share charts, thoughts, and advice in comments, and my site administrator will make a few posts a week in order to provide a forum for continued comments and interaction (should anyone wish to continue).
See you soon!

You've earned it! I hope you have a nice break, and come back soon. Your site changed the way I trade, and I truly appreciative.

I second what Ken said. Enjoy your time off, but hurry back!

9/12/11 trades
SVM 7th 5m bar short
This was a shooting star at the 8ema and the 38 fib. Yes, there was a hammer in the retrace and S2 was near the ORL, but the pattern still looked fine to me and I was going to watch the action carefully at S2. I held through the small bounce, partialed under S2, and covered the rest after the stock showed signs of bouncing. The original stop would’ve been hit, but the stock did make it to the FE later.
GT 5th 30m bar short
This was a shooting star at the 5ema, 38 fib, and S1. It initially didn’t do much, teasingly dropping and then bouncing a couple of times. During the 2nd bounce I couldn’t take it anymore and covered at breakeven. Alas, that was near the swing high, as the stock did make it to the ORL and S2 and almost hit whole number 10. I got anxious and didn’t accept my stop. Sometimes I hate being human.
IRET 7th 30m bar
This was a red hammer at the 5ema and 38 fib. I sold as the stock started to drop from the ORH.
BMRN 10th 30m bar
This was a red hammer at the 8ema. The stock almost hit the ORH. I sold when it started dropping back near R1. It dropped below my breakeven, but it wouldn’t have stopped out; it broke the ORH near EOD.
Missed trades
SSRI 4th 10m bar
This was Chips and Salsa’s trade, though he saw it on the 5m. On the 10m the setup bar was a shooting star with its tail tagging the 38 fib, but the 5ema was a bit away and the ORL was fairly close, so I passed. I missed seeing other shooting stars at the ORL and the FE.
9/13/11
I couldn’t really trade today, though I did gather a gappers list. Afterwards I noticed that only OPTR and RIG had setups that triggered; they both made it beyond the ORH.
Enjoy your time off Trader-X. I don't comment often, but I wanted to say that I have not had a losing month since March, and this month will make six in a row. I owe it all to you. I am very focused, and trade no more than 2 setups a day. I have time to figure out what will work and what won't, and it makes all the difference.
Hurry back.
