I just think it's hypocritical of us fans that we all cheered for home runs when they were hitting them like crazy - Sosa, McGwire, Giambi, Bonds, etc. - and now we point fingers. Besides, baseball hadn't outlawed steroids at that point so shouldn't we be blaming the sport in general rather than allow MLB hang these players out to dry?
Just because they were not outlawed by baseball does not mean people were right for using them. After all, they are and were illegal.
I was never a Bonds fan...he is an ass and always will be. Steroids or no steroids.
And I don't know how many people knew McGwire and Sosa were on the juice during the homerun race year...I didn't.
