P&G, TAG, and Axe

Wallstrip had a great segment today on P&G, and specifically their TAG body spray.

It seems they did an experiment with some surfer guy who - from a distance - could easily be mistaken for a girl. Lindsay of course swooned over him; there is no doubt that was called for in the script! And, it shows her great acting ability...

Anyway, they compared the TAG body spray to the old P&G Right Guard, implying they are essentially the same thing. But TAG is the "re-branded" product - flashier, sexier, and guaranteed to drive the women wild (again, as long as it is in the script.)

Personally I prefer Axe. I have done my own experiments, and I find that I get attacked 98.625% of the time I wear Axe, unbutton my shirt, and walk by a group of women. Here is a recent photo of me walking towards a pack of ladies - since this is a family blog, I cannot publish what happened next.

So, I prefer Axe. But I cannot argue with P&G's marketing of TAG. I think it is a great campaign, and a product that the younger guys will take with them into middle-age. And, the middle-age guys will use it to try and re-live their younger days. Or the fantasy of what their younger days were like (reality is never as good as fantasy!)

I asked Tom C. to take a long-term look at P&G's chart. As we all know, long-term for me is about 18-minutes. Here are his comments:

"P&G is just breaking out past the Fibonacci extension of 2005's low to high. This bodes well for a rally into the end of the year (a Trader-X "beyond the Fibonacci extension" play), and some nice potential going into 2007. It had a deep pullback mid-year, but recovered nicely and is now firmly above the major moving averages I monitor. Overall a bullish scenario."

So there you have it. Lindsay, you and I both know who that growl at the end was REALLY for...

X, it is the game that has been played since the beginning of time. We all know you are the one she thinks of when she crawls into bed at night.

You know, I think X may actually be Brad Pitt. How he finds time to blog between Angelina, the kids, helping the people of Africa, Habitat for Humanity, and Ocean's 13 I will never know.

lol.

Howard - I think that is a different growl she gives you. Kind of like a Doberman when an intruder walks into the back yard.

I don't want to co-host a show - I want to co-host the life of Lindsay Campbell.

Lindsay - will you marry me?

Nice line.

Did anyone see today's WallStrip? In summary, it's 3 minutes of Lindsay Campbell modeling clothes at American Eagle -- I don't think we'll see much of Trader-X today... :)
